Team Stories

real people making a difference

Biruk Regassa

Retail/Store Manager – Pasadena, MD

Since I started, Dash In helped pay my tuition, I moved up to a shift manager in just a few years, and in 2017, I started working as a corporate store manager where my current store has been recognized multiple times for high sales performance.

I can’t say enough good things about the people I work with. Part of my responsibilities is hiring and training employees and being able to help develop future great team members.

I’m IN for Family and Future

11 years ago I started as a cashier at a store in Glen Burnie, MD. It was my first job and I honestly just looked at it as a job. Fast forward to today and they helped me earn my bachelor’s degree and I’m now in a corporate role with amazing perks and benefits for me and my family.

I remember my first manager saw how hard I worked and told me,

you keep this up, you’ll be making more money than me in a few years.

Since I started, Dash In helped pay my tuition, I moved up to a shift manager in just a few years, and in 2017, I started working as a corporate store manager where my current store has been recognized multiple times for high sales performance.

I have always said that being a manager is easy, but being a leader is hard. And Dash In does a great job of leading by example. Every manager I’ve had has believed in me, supported me as I moved up, and continue to help me build a future for my family. And the best part is everyone has the same opportunities. There’s always room to grow into a new role and Dash In truly embraces diversity and the value it brings to the company.

And when I tell people why I love working at Dash In, it’s because of all the familiar faces that come to see me every day. I know that everyone who comes into my store has a lot going on in their day, and if I can do anything to make their day a little better, then I know I’m doing my job. Overall, the community is important to me. I’m a member of my local firehouse, I coach soccer in Silver Springs, and run a lot of local 5K races. And there have been multiple times where people come up to me saying how they love coming to my store. Those moments are what make Dash In a great place to work.
